Norm Ward Athletic Scholarship
The 2026 STRC scholarship season is now open until April 24! The Southern Tier Running Club is proud to award a minimum of $5,000 in total scholarship money every year. All senior high school students meeting the criteria below are encouraged to apply by downloading the application below.
Criteria of Eligibility:
- Eligible students must reside in Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler, Tioga (NY), Bradford (PA).
- Students must submit a completed application.
- Students should be an active athlete with preference given to those involved in running.
- Students must attach a copy of your most current transcript
- Students must submit a college acceptance letter.
- Students must submit a short essay describing their academic, extracurricular/volunteer, and running achievements (as stated on the application)
- Students have the option of submitting a letter of recommendation (as stated on the application)
- Students are not required to be a STRC member
